7 Things You Must Check After Your Car Service

Below is a checklist of things you should check based on the time of year and season to extend the life and performance of your car. Some of these auto parts require daily car maintenance, while others only need long-term maintenance. Always follow your car's service interval records and maintenance schedule.

It will take some effort on your part to maintain and maintain your car, but you don't need to be a professional mechanic to keep it in top shape. Having a clear idea of what needs to be done and how long it takes to get the best car repair services in Dubai is the biggest challenge that can be easily overcome.

1. Maintenance worksheet or work order during car service

No matter which station you take your car to for repairs, creating a worksheet is routine. Service advisors and mechanics can use this form to communicate with each other.

To make sure all issues have been addressed and any necessary changes made, inspect the car and delivery note as soon as it returns from the shop where you repaired the car. This is even useful after a car wash.

2. Request itemized invoice in Dubai

Always prepare an itemized bill after your car has been serviced. Make sure to confirm that it has the price of the item, this is roughly what the service advisor will give you. Take care to make sure you aren't charged for a replacement when the oil is topped up. Errors can be made by humans or machines. It is best to proceed with caution to ensure the best care outcomes.

3. Gearbox and engine oil

Your car's engine is its heart, and keeping it running efficiently requires oil and filter changes. The same applies to transmissions, even though it usually has no filters. Observe the color of the oil before and after the replacement time. After an oil change, the new oil will be cleaner and lighter in color, making it easy to spot after an auto service.

4. Engine coolant/brake fluid

Engine coolant must be changed after a few thousand miles because it will eventually lose quality. You may also need to change or refill your brake fluid, depending on your automaker's recommendations.

But there's no way of knowing if it's done until you see it being done. It's best left in the observation area or taken to a gas station where you can watch it happen.

5. Carrying Items/Tool Bag/Boots

For safety reasons, it is recommended that you remove the kit and any personal items from the car before taking them to Dubai for a car service. To avoid getting lost while working, if this is not possible, you can ask the service advisor to note it on the work order. When receiving the goods, also ensure that spare tires and other accessories are intact.

6. Oil level

To prevent misuse, the service advisor will record the gasoline volume on the work sheet. In summer, it is customary to check the air conditioner. Check the gasoline level on delivery to make sure the mechanic hasn't abused it. You can take this step to ensure the success of your car service with the company of your choice.

7. Air filter

The air filter can be quickly inspected by removing it and opening the case. The air filter should be cleaned every time the car is serviced and should be replaced after a few thousand kilometers. It makes a significant contribution to the health of the engine. Checking this is also simple.
